Review: Children of Memory by Adrian Tchaikovsky

Children of Memory is the third entry in the Children of Time series by Adrian Tchaikovsky. I adored both books one & two, but I really struggled with this third book. The narrative format is very different from its predecessors, and when it comes time to reveal what has been happening all this time, the answer is underwhelming, and personally, I found it to be quite unsatisfactory.

I loved the worldbuilding, the characters, and the plot. I found the examination and parallels of religions and patriarchal societies particularly interesting, and the themes of female empowerment and the deconstruction of patriarchy are powerful and important.
